Scaling CAR-T Therapies: Clinical Delivery, Workforce and System Readiness

How do we scale CAR-T? Exploring clinical delivery, workforce skills and system readiness. FREE to attend.

CAR-T cell therapies have delivered transformative outcomes for cancer patients who have exhausted other treatment options, and are increasingly being explored across a wider range of indications. However, expanding patient access remains challenging. The complexity and cost of CAR-T manufacturing, spanning both clinical and manufacturing settings, introduces significant clinical, operational, workforce and system-level barriers to delivering these therapies at scale.

This FAST-CAR-T consortium workshop brings together experts from healthcare, industry, academia and policy to examine these challenges, with a particular focus on healthcare readiness, workforce skills and capacity, systems interoperability, and the wider enablers required to support effective delivery.

Building on the first FAST-CAR-T workshop, which explored digital and regulatory innovation in CAR-T manufacturing, this event shifts the focus to the clinical setting. It will consider what is required across healthcare systems, and at the interface between clinical care and manufacturing, to enable faster, more agile production of ATMPs and to widen patient access.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Clinical challenges in scaling CAR-T and other ATMP manufacturing
  • Workforce skills, training and capacity needed to support current and future CAR-T and ATMP delivery
  • Managing complexity at a systems level, including the clinical–manufacturing interface
  • Key clinical, operational and digital enablers of adoption and scale-up
  • Priority areas for investment to advance CAR-T and ATMP delivery and widen patient access

Through discussion and stakeholder insight, this workshop series aims to develop key recommendations for addressing the clinical, manufacturing, and system-level challenges of delivering CAR-T and other ATMPs at scale. Published outputs will help inform future investment decisions and provide strategic insight for policy makers, regulators, funders, and healthcare and industry leaders.

Who should attend:
This workshop is aimed at professionals involved in, or supporting, the delivery of CAR-T and ATMPs, including:

  • Healthcare professionals and system leaders
