Multi-Disciplinary Research Group
Advanced Therapies Wales, along with Cardiff ECMC (Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre) and the Advanced Neurotherapies Centre, co-ordinate monthly Multi-Disciplinary Research Group (MDRG) meetings.
The aim is to grow the advanced therapies community across Wales by supporting collaboration between academics, clinicians and industry.
We aim to develop early career researchers towards independence, and support the translation of academic led research through to clinical trials.
We connect with researchers across various disciplines through face-to-face meetings with an online option available and meetings feature guest speakers to encourage active debate and knowledge sharing.
Past initiatives include £20,000 funding for collaborative projects, industry site visits, as well as research highlight sessions.
The group has a broad appeal with rotating sessions focused on three key areas
