The Advanced Therapies Wales Programme operates within the Welsh Government’s
Precision Medicine portfolio, alongside Genomics, Pathology, and Imaging. Close
collaboration with these programmes ensures information sharing, resource pooling,
and the dissemination of best practices and lessons. Together we will identify innovative,
forward thinking and collaborative opportunities and projects to meet future service
needs and ambitions. A robust relationship with the academic sector, specifically
Higher Education, is integral to the success of Advanced Therapies development in
Wales. The Programme has initiated engagement with major Universities in the region.
Industry engagement is supported by Life Sciences Hub Wales, which identifies
Advanced Therapies as a key strategic priority.
