The role of this group to potentiate the development and delivery of cell and gene therapy translational research and clinical trials in Wales.

To lead on delivery of Goal three of cultivating advanced therapies research capacity and capability, along with the cross-cutting themes, as contained in the Delivery Plan for Advanced Therapies in Wales 2025-2029.
To facilitate, inform and provide guidance on innovation activity, translational research and to enable the growth of capacity and capability of Advanced Therapies clinical trials, be these through Wales as Welsh initiatives or in collaboration with others.
To convene subject matter experts to understand requirements for delivery of translational research and clinical trials in gene and cell therapies.
